TEGAL, KOMPAS.com – Tegal City DPRD Vice President Wasmad Edi Susilo (WES) was finally named a suspect by the police.

WES is believed to have violated the law because it held a celebration party with dangdutan in the midst of a pandemic and ignored police warnings.

“After conducting a series of investigations, we determined that the suspect was reported on behalf of WES,” Tegal City Police Chief, AKBP, Rita Wulandari Wibowo, accompanied by Kasatreskrim, AKP, Syuaib Abdullah, told a conference call. report at the Tegal city police headquarters on Monday (9/28/2020).

According to Rita, the basis of the initial investigation was a police report or LP / A / 91 / IX / 2020 / Jateng / Res Tegal Kota dated September 25.

“There is preliminary evidence that is sufficient for us to escalate to an investigation,” said the police chief.

The Chief of Police transmitted that the suspect’s modus operandi to carry out a marriage and circumcision celebration was to invite the guests with entertainment attended by thousands of people without paying attention to health protocols.

“Besides ignoring the warnings given by the authorities,” Rita said.

According to Rita, in the case that was handled by the joint investigators of the Central Java Police and the Tegal City Police, at least 15 witnesses had requested information.

“The investigation after making a series of attempts to question 15 witnesses and several experts. There are criminal experts, health experts and linguists,” said Rita.
