A total of 1,179 people were displaced flood that submerged the Regency area Bandung. The southern area of Bandung was surrounded by flooding caused by heavy rains since Thursday afternoon (12/24) at around 17.00 WIB.
Bandung Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency Pusdalops officer Erwin Nurdiansyah said in his statement that the flooding had inundated three sub-districts, namely Dayeuhkolot district, Baleendah district and Bojongsoang district.
In Dayeuhkolot district, the floods affected several villages, including Dayeuhkolot village and Citeureup village in Pasawahan village. A total of 4,813 heads of household (KK) or 15,839 people were affected by the flood.
The impact of the floods displaced 187 families or 607 people. The number of houses submerged was 2,122 units, and 3 schools and 7 places of worship were also submerged. The water levels are reported to be 10 to 80 cm.
Meanwhile, in the Baleendah district, floods inundated Andir and Baleendah Kelurahan. A total of 6,936 households or 23,176 people were affected by the flood.
Of these, 152 families or 575 people were displaced. In addition to submerging 5,242 houses, the flooding in the Baleendah district also caused the flooding of 8 schools and 35 places of worship. The water level varies from 10 to 90 cm.
In addition, the flood also affected the Bojongsoang district. The three affected areas are Bojongsoang Village, Bojongsari Village, and Tegaluar Village. The water level varies from 10 to 60 cm.
“The number affected and the number of submerged units are still under evaluation,” Erwin said in a statement.
Erwin said that in addition to the floods, landslides also occurred in the village of Cicalengka Wetan in the Cicalengka district. As a result of the landslide itself, 3 families or individuals were affected. There were no fatalities in the incident.
“Three houses were affected. The time of the incident was at 3:33 p.m. WIB due to heavy rains and the unstable contours of the terrain and not strong cliff faces,” he said.
