A total of six sub-districts submerged flood after the rain made the city red Bekasi, West Java, from Sunday morning (1/24). The water level even reached one meter at the IKIP Lecturer Complex, Jati Kramat.
The director of the Bekasi City Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Agus Harpa, noted that the water level has started to drop by an average of 50 to 60 centimeters. At the IKIP Lecturer Complex, the latest data from the BPBD of the city of Bekasi indicated that the floods began to recede at an altitude of 30 to 50 centimeters.
“The flooding of the IKIP Lecturer Complex in Jati Kramat Village has subsided with a height of more than 30-50 cm, two pumps have been set off,” Agus said in his statement to CNNIndonesia.com, Sunday (24/1).
In addition to the IKIP teacher complex, the rain has also soaked two areas in the Rawalumbu district with an average height of 10-20 centimeters. The flood also submerged the Pondok Hijau Permai housing complex and the Suzuki housing complex, Pengasinan Village.
In the Pondok Gede sub-district, the rain soaked five spots, namely Kelurahan Jati Bening with a height of 60 centimeters and Kelurahan Jati Cempaka from 30 to 40 centimeters. The altitude even reaches 1.2 meters in Jatibening Permai Housing.
“The Jatibening Complex 1 in Jatibening Village is approximately 60 cm high. The Jatibening Permai Housing Complex was monitored for 120 cm of flooding,” he said.
Then, in the Medan Satria sub-district, the average water level is 30 to 40 centimeters, respectively in the Harapan Mulya village and the Kali Baru village. Then, in the South Bekasi district, the average water level reaches 20-30 centimeters, respectively, Palem Raya Street and Cikunir Park.
Finally, in the West Bekasi district, the average water level is 60 centimeters. The floods submerged the Kali Malang road below fly over, Kota Bintang, Kelurahan Jaka Sampurna, Jalan Bintara Jaya, and Pondok Cipta.
The water level even reaches a height of 90 centimeters TMA Cakung River that crosses the Duta Kranji urbanization.
“The TMA Cakung river is 90 cm across the Duta Kranji house to Harapan Baru 2. Pondok Cipta has a 15-30 cm flood and has started to recede,” he said.
Floods have swept through several areas in Jabodetabek since early Sunday (1/24). BPBD DKI Jakarta on January 24 at 09.00 WIB, recorded 10 puddles of water with an average height of 10 cm to 45 cm scattered in various points of the capital.
