Danramil Cicurug’s captain, Armed Mahtom Tohari, said there were 2 victims washed away and 8 injured as a result of the incident.

Mahtom said that several residents whose homes were damaged due to the impact of the flash flood had fled to the homes of other relatives.
“Tonight we set up a complaint stand, we are going to register more victims, how many families and how many people were affected by the flood, because many houses are still damaged,” Mahtom explained.

“The search for our TNI is being coordinated with BPBD, it cannot be done tonight, tomorrow morning,” he added.
Meanwhile, according to an interim report from the District Disaster Management Officer (P2BK) of the Cicurug District, the incident began when heavy rains occurred in the area causing flash flooding from the overflow of the Citarik-Cipeuncit river with a level of water from 5 to 6 meters.
In the same report, at least four villages and one kelurahan were affected by the flash flood. The details are Cipari Village, Cisaat Village, Cibuntu Village Pasawahan Village, Kampung Belakan Aspol, Cicurug Village, Nyangkowek Village RT 02/07 Mekarsari Village, Lio RT 02/05 Village Mekarsari Village, and Perum Setia Budi, Bangbayang Village, Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency.
As a result, 12 houses were razed and another 85 were submerged. The vehicle that was towed is still in the registration process.
