JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The collision of the fishing vessel MV Barokah Jaya and the vessel MV Habco Pioneer occurred in the Balongan Sea, Indramayu Regency, on Saturday (3/4/2021).

SROP / Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) chief Cirebon Hapiszar explained that the ship’s collision occurred around 4:45 p.m. WIB with coordinates 05 ° 37.35 ‘S – 108 ° 17.18’ E or 60 miles from North Cirebon Balongan .

Hapiszar explained that the information about this accident was relayed by the captain of the ship MV. Habco pioneer, Muhammad Ferdinan Rizal Tunjung.

This ship collision accident caused the MV Barokah Jaya to capsize. A total of 15 crew members out of 32 crew members have been evacuated, while another 17 crew members have not been found.

According to Hapiszar, his party has coordinated with Basarnas Cirebon, Basarnas Bandung and Basarnas Pusat to help search for crew members and evacuate crew members who have had accidents.

This incident has also spread to ships passing through the accident site in order to provide assistance.
