Jakarta – Fire Basement Taman Sari Apartment, South Jakarta is still under management. The residents of the apartment were evacuated.
“There are still blackouts. Yes, many residents were evacuated,” Suparno, an officer with the South Jakarta Fire Brigade, said when contacted on Sunday (4/4/2021).
Suparno still does not know how many residents were evacuated. He ensured that residents were temporarily evacuated to safety.
“It was evacuated to the safest place. We do not know (how many) because it is still in the process of blackout,” he said.
The blackout process is still ongoing. Officers at the scene also continued to evacuate residents from the apartment.
“Yes, we are still working on the site, we are still evacuating,” he said.
It is known, the fire was reported to have occurred at 03.30 WIB. Until 06.50 WIB, the blackout process was still ongoing. A total of 23 fire trucks were deployed to the scene.
