JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – A Democratic Party politician, Ferdinand Hutahaean, resigned from the party that has been overseeing him. The reason is that there are differences of attitude between him and the Democrats regarding the Employment Creation Act.
“That it is true that today Ferdinand Hutahaean as Head of the Office of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Democratic Party for the period 2020-2025 has officially announced my resignation from the leadership of the Democratic Party,” Ferdinand said in a virtual statement to the journalist of Kompas TV Frisca Clarissa, on Sunday. (11/10/2020).
He also resigned from the leadership, Ferdinand continued, in addition to resigning as a cadre of the Democratic Party.
The reason for Ferdinand’s decision to resign from the Democrats is that there are fundamental differences in principles related to the Job Creation Act.
“This is the culmination of several disputes yesterday related to the Employment Creation Law,” he said.
According to Ferdinand, there is a difference of understanding between the interests of this law and the political interests. So he took the position of officially resigning from the DPP Democratic Party.
