jatimnow.com – The Bojonegoro Police have named two suspects in the incident in which 4 people died in a family as a result of being electrocuted by rat traps in Addrejo Village, Kanor district.

“We have named two suspects with the initials T and S. They both own electrical cables,” Bojonegoro Police Chief AKBP M Budi Hendrawan said on Tuesday (10/13/2020).

He explained that from the results of the examination it was found that the two suspects had forgotten to install live cables to trap mice, causing the death of the victim.

“Both are accused of article 359 of the Penal Code on negligence that causes the death of other people. The maximum penalty is 5 years,” he said.

Meanwhile, the victim’s brother, Warsiman, said that if he and his other families deliberately took legal action to resolve this case, he hoped that the incident his family experienced would not happen to other people.

“We reported it to the police, so that cases like this would not be repeated in the future,” said Warsiman.

As previously reported, four people from one family, namely husband and wife Parno (55) and Riswati (50), as well as their two sons Jayadi (32) and Arifin (21) were electrocuted by mouse traps when they were about to water chili plants in their fields.

Police found an electrical cable wrapped around the victim’s body. Whereas the electricity flowing in the rat trap wire does not come from the generator but from the high voltage electricity.

Apart from that, the police also found that one of the bamboo electric poles supporting the electric cables had collapsed.
