Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Politician Gerindra Fadli Zon assessed that DKI Governor Anies Baswedan’s subpoena for Polda Metro Jaya was a form of abuse of power or abuse of power.
Anies Baswedan was subpoenaed by Polda Metro Jaya investigators to provide clarification on the crowd that occurred in the Petamburan area, Central Jakarta on Saturday (11/14/2020).
The crowd attended the wedding of the son of the FPI High Priest, Muhammad Rizieq Shihab, as well as the commemoration of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW. At least 10,000 people gathered around the FPI headquarters.
Anies was subsequently subpoenaed and provided clarification on Tuesday (11/17/2020). Stayed at Polda Metro Jaya for about 9.5 hours from 10:00 WIB. According to Anies, he was asked around 33 questions and answered according to the facts on the ground.
Fadli Zon called this call a form of arbitrariness. The reason is that the clarification still includes evidence of the examination procedure (BAP) and is given dozens of questions.
According to Fadli, this was not reasonable because Anies Baswedan was not the party who had violated the health protocol. The former minister of education and culture, Fadli said, had enforced the law by imposing sanctions on Rizieq.
In addition, Fadly added, there is not a single article in the Health Law that Anies can be suspected of.
“So it is not up to the police to quote if the name is a clarification, etc.” That can be called later abuse of power, abuse of authority, “Fadli said in an interview with TV One on Wednesday (11/18/2020).
In the case of the crowd in Petamburan, the DPR Commission I member said that it cannot be said that the DKI governor has been neglecting. This is because the provincial government has fined Rizieq 50 million rupees.
“Look at Pilkada in Central Java, why is Pak Ganjar [Gubernur Jateng] not called, why Pak Ridwan Kamil [Gubernur Jabar] not summoned or other governors not called. This is called being criminalized by law. Well, our people are already smart, smart enough, ”he explained.
