The deceased passed away after receiving medical treatment at the Surabaya National Hospital due to his illness.
On Sunday around 4 p.m. WIB, the body of the deceased was immediately buried at the Jami ‘Al-Anwar Mosque Complex in Pasuruan City.
Hundreds of thousands of residents appeared to attend the funeral procession.
Those jostling to watch the funeral procession even knocked down the fence and information panel in front of the mosque.
As for the crowd, the East Java Regional Police has set up a team to conduct an investigation.

One of the sons of the deceased, Habib Abu Bakar Assegaf, said Habib Hasan died after being treated in hospital for five days.
However, as his condition worsened, he had time to undergo treatment in the ICU ward.
“When he was sick, the first time he was sick was with diarrhea, there was an infection in the stomach area,” he said by phone on Monday night (12/28/2020).
During treatment, the deceased was also given a swab test and the results showed negative results for Covid-19.
“Alhamdulillah is negative for Covid-19. Pure due to his illness and God wants him to return,” he explained.
The family deliberately buried the deceased in the Jami ‘Al-Anwar Mosque because he used to carry out activities there every day.
“He is buried in the Jami mosque because he is a rowatib imam in the Jami mosque. He also has many routines in the Jami ‘Al-Anwar mosque in Pasuruan city,” he said.

Habib Abu Bakr did not deny that hundreds of thousands of people attended the funeral procession.
This is because many residents feel lost with the figure of Habib Hasan.
Because during Habib Hasan’s life, he was known as a simple and consistent figure. He also always comes when invited by anyone, regardless of social status.
“It is possible that hundreds of thousands of people attended his funeral because so many people were pleased with him during his lifetime,” he said.
“When he was invited by people, from the rich to the poor, he never wanted to discriminate. Everyone was treated the same, they attended his invitations and always on time when people invited him. Sometimes they didn’t invite him to go alone.” Habib Abu Bakar said.

Regarding the appearance of a crowd of residents at Habib Hasan’s funeral procession in Pasuruan, the East Java Regional Police spoke.
The East Java regional police chief of public relations, Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu, admitted that he had formed a team to conduct an investigation.
This is because crowds of residents in the midst of the corona pandemic mass are prohibited. This is to avoid the potential transmission of Covid-19.
“Right now there is a Covid-19 pandemic, so crowds are strictly prohibited to prevent the spread of Covid-19, so we sent a team to explore,” he confirmed Monday night (12/28/2020) .
