JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The National Police Headquarters spoke and gave an explanation about the dissolution of the FPI volunteers while helping the victims of the floods in East Jakarta.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, confirmed that the ban was not related to actions carried out by FPI volunteers, but to the attributes used by these volunteers.
“We are not concerned about their aid actions. Of course, we see that FPI is a banned organization,” he told Jakarta Police Headquarters, quoted on Tribunnews.com on Monday (2/22/2021).
“So it is not the activity, but the organization. So what is prohibited is the organization and not the activities that are carried out. For example, he helps with the floods. But he is not allowed to carry the attributes or organization around,” he continued . .
