In this luxury goods sales tax (PPnBM) regulation, there is an update on cars that get a PPnBM discount.
In total there are 29 cars from 6 manufacturers that achieve this relaxation, both for cars of less than 1,500 cc and for cars of 1,500 cc – 2,500 cc with the 4×2 and 4×4 types.
There is a strong brand in this segment that does not receive that discount incentive, namely the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
According to Naoya Nakamura, President and Director of PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), this is because the SUV’s TKDN is not as high as that of its competitors.

The amount of PPnBM for cars less than 1500 cc is 0% (March-May), PPnBM 50% (June-August) and 25% (September-November).
The first scheme to reduce PPnBM for 4×2 vehicles is a 50% discount on PPnBM, from 20% to 10% for phase I (April-August 2021) and a 25% discount, from 20% to 15% for the Phase II (September-December 2021).
While the following scheme for 4×4 vehicles is a discount of 25%, from 40% to 30% for Phase I (April-August 2021) and a discount of 12.5%, from 40% to 35% for Phase II (September-December 2021). ).
