Erick Thohir will dissolve 14 state companies, one of which is Merpati Airlines

JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir is said to be dissolving 14 state-owned or state-owned enterprises.

Subsequently, the dissolution process will go through the Asset Management Company (Persero) or PPA.

Currently, the total number of BUMN is 108. With the dissolution of 14 companies, 94 companies will remain in the future.

“In the future, 41 BUMN will be maintained and developed,” special staff told BUMN Minister Arya Sinulingga as quoted by Kompas.com, on Tuesday (9/29/2020).

“There are 34 consolidated or merged, which are administered by the PPA 19 and those that will be liquidated through the PPA are 14. This will make the state companies lean.”

Arya added that currently the BUMN Ministry does not have the right to immediately liquidate or dissolve this state company.
