Jakarta –
The National Police has imposed sanctions on Brigadier General EP, the police general involved in LGBT, that is, not receiving a post until retirement. Commission III Vice Chairman Ahmad Sahroni said that the head of the National Police had shown firmness towards members who were involved in LGBT.
“The Chief of the National Police has been firm internally in this regard. I am sure that the Chief of Police, Idham Azis, is firm in internal affairs,” Ahmad Sahroni said when contacted on Tuesday (10/20/2020 ).
Sahroni said that LGBT sexual orientation is actually a personal matter. However, he explained that Brigadier General EP is an active member of the National Police, so he must be able to comply with the rules that govern the police.
“Within the Police itself there are rules regarding LGBT and, of course, all members must obey these rules,” he said.
As is known, Brigadier General EP was sentenced to witness that he was not awarded a position until he retired for being involved in LGBT. Brigjen EP was sanctioned for LGBT involvement in late 2019.
“One of the sanctions is non-employment (you are not given a position) until retirement,” Deputy Chief of Police for Human Resources (As HR), Inspector General Sutrisno Yudi Hermawan, told detikcom on Tuesday (20 / 10/2020).
The National Police also admitted having made improvements to its personnel evaluation system. This was done to reduce LGBT influence within the Police.
The news about the existence of LGBT groups in TNI and Polri initially emerged after being revealed by the deputy chief of the Supreme Court (MA) in the military field, Burhan Dahlan. The National Police said the Propam team was moving to process a series of reports.
In connection with this, dozens of TNI members have been fired because they proved to be LGBT during 2020. Related data is listed on the MA website.
