jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The desire of various businessmen in the tourism sector to obtain the same room for maneuver as Habib Rizieq Shihab and FPI was responded to with threats by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.
Anies said that entrepreneurs should focus on addressing the COVID-19 pandemic following a request from several entrepreneurs to stop the Large Scale Transitional Social Restrictions (PSBB).
“Do not let the guidance not reduce cases. Our guidance is to make the problem of COVID-19 go down more and more day by day. Until hopefully there are no more cases,” Anies said in Jakarta on Monday (11/23) .
According to Anies, right now what you have to do is compete to work on the control of COVID-19, so that people do not want to do activities that worsen these efforts.
In addition, Anies hopes that there will be cooperation, where the government will carry out 3T, that is, testing, tracking and treatment; while the community implements 3M, wears masks, washes their hands, and keeps their distance.
Anies also threatened to impose strict sanctions on those who dare to violate health protocols.
“If someone violates, the Provincial Government of DKI will take measures and impose sanctions in accordance with current regulations. So we should not want to carry out activities that really worsen the control of COVID-19,” he said.
Hundreds of businessmen from 18 tourism sectors who are members of Visit Wonderful Indonesia (ViWi) reportedly protested against the provincial government of DKI Jakarta for allowing Habib Rizieq and FPI to violate health protocols.
