Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia– The provincial government of DKI Jakarta continues to test all citizens without exception, especially all citizens of Jakarta who are highly mobile so that they have the potential to be exposed to the COVID-19 virus.
This is also done at all levels within the provincial government of DKI Jakarta, including the Governor of DKI Jakarta and the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta. Latest PCR test results from DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office show Lieutenant Governor Ahmad Riza Patria was confirmed positive for COVID-19 and remains in good condition. According to the doctor’s instructions, Lieutenant Governor Ariza is currently in independent isolation.
“Alhamdulillah, even though my test results on Friday (11/27) came back positive for COVID-19, my condition is still in good condition and under control. Staff and all members of my family have also undergone to a swab test. According to the health procedures established by the WHO “Every patient confirmed positive for COVID-19 is obliged to perform an independent isolation and remain under the supervision of health workers, both at the center level health and hospital, “said Lieutenant Governor Ariza in a press release on Sunday (11/29/2020).
It is known that Ariza previously performed two smear tests (PCR Test), on Thursday (11/26) with a negative result, and then continued with the same test on Friday (11/27) with a positive result. Based on the contact tracing results of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, it was confirmed that Lieutenant Governor Ariza tested positive for COVID-19 because he contracted it from his personal staff who had previously been infected by the staff’s family environment.
“So this positive finding for COVID-19 comes from the work environment, where there are my staff who are infected from their family group. This, of course, is a concern for all of us to maintain more discipline in health protocols even within the family, “Ariza said.
Ariza hopes that with this positive COVID-19 confirmation case, Jakarta residents will further improve the discipline of health protocols, that is, wear masks, keep their distance and wash their hands.
