JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – Haidir Anam, a young man working as a construction worker, has successfully fulfilled his dream of becoming a soldier in the Indonesian Army (AD).
The 20-year-old became a member of the Indonesian Army after being declared approved in the 2020 Tamtama Candidate Selection.
Anam, as he is affectionately called, recounts his struggle to become a TNI soldier.

He was not discouraged even though he faced financial constraints that forced him to become a construction worker in Jakarta.
Anam said that he had emigrated to Jakarta to work as a construction worker to meet the needs of his family. In the capital city, he worked around the location of the Indonesian Army Headquarters.
“I’m here to work on projects, construction workers, work on drains, install ceramics too, paint all kinds of things. The salary is only 120,000 rupees, but thank God it is enough for my family, “Anam said from the TNI AD YouTube channel on the TNI AD Newsletter broadcast on Friday (12/25/2020).
