Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The share price of textile issuer PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) suddenly fell into the red zone at the start of trading session I, Monday (12/21/2020).

Trading data showed SRIL shares were down 1.41% at the IDR 280 / share level at 11.10 WIB. The value of the transaction reached 21.47 billion IDR with a trading volume of 77.60 million shares.

In one week, SRIL shares rose 16%, one month they also rose 18% and in 6 months they soared 53% with a market capitalization of Rp 5.73 billion.

One of the issues that has turned into a negative sentiment in the market is the news circulation that the company is producing welfare bags due to a recommendation from Gibran Rakabuming, son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who competed in Pilkada by the mayor of Solo, Sritex’s production base.

On social media, Gibran contributed to the selection of Sritex to make bags for pandemic COVID-19 welfare. Sritex also denied the news.

“It’s not true,” said Sritex Head of Corporate Communication Joy Citradewi, quoted by Detik.com, on Monday (12/21/2020).

Previously, the KPK charged Juliari Batubara as a suspect in the case of the pandemic Covid-19 welfare package. He was caught along with four other people, namely Matheus Joko Santoso, Adi Wahyono, Ardian IM, and Harry Sidabuke.

The first two names are Commitment Officers or PPKs of the Ministry of Social Affairs. Meanwhile, the next two names are private parties such as welfare procurement providers.

The KPK suspects that Juliari will receive an allowance of 10 lakhs from each food package worth 300 lakhs per package. In total, the KPK suspects that Juliari Batubara has received 8.2 billion rupees and 8.8 billion rupees.
