Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Vice President of Commission I DPR RI since PKS faction, Abdul Kharis Almasyhari plans to discuss the issue of the removal of billboards from the Leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT), Muhammad Rizieq Shihab at a commission meeting with TNI commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.
Previously, several TNI members were known to have taken down the billboards for Rizieq Shihab. Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, admitted that this was his order.
Kharis also criticized the measure and recalled that the control of billboards was not part of the main task and function (Tupoksi) of the army. Therefore, he also admitted that he was surprised by Dudung’s step in the deployment of soldiers.
“That should be the job of Satpol PP, not the job of the army. He does not agree with the main duties and functions,” Kharis told CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (11/20).
Kharis said that the military can participate in the reduction of billboards as a form of Military Operations Apart from War (OMSP). However, the army’s position is only to become PP Satpol’s aid, not the main force.
He now also admits that he is consulting with related parties on politics. “If there is a meeting, I will ask it,” Kharis said.
On the other hand, Willy Aditya, a member of the I DPR RI Commission of the Nasdem Party faction, also criticized the move of the Regional Military Commander, Dudung Abdurachman.
He also said that the case of the billboard was the domain of Satpol PP.
Willy later conveyed that DKI Pemprov should be in charge of controlling billboards. He believes there is a possibility of rape if the military intervenes.
“If TNI intervenes, yes, there is mismanagement of the name,” Willy told reporters on Friday (11/20).
“The public administration is on horseback by the resulting policies. This is certainly not good or ideal for living together,” he added.
Earlier, a group of people in striped uniforms took down billboards calling for “Moral Revolution.”
Later, after the TNI election preparations for Pilkada in the Monas area, Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, admitted that he had instructed his soldiers to stop the Rizieq Shihab billboards. According to him, the billboards violated the rules.
Dudung said that Satpol PP DKI had repeatedly taken down Rizieq’s billboards. However, the billboards were always repositioned.
“There is a striped shirt to lower Habib Rizieq’s billboard, that’s my order,” Dudung said at the National Monument, Jakarta, on Friday (11/20).
