Member of Commission XI DPR Fraction IR Gerindra Soepriyatno died in the Central Hospital of Pertamina (RSPP), Jakarta this Friday (9/10) morning. During this time he was treated for positive corona virus (COVID-19).
Habiburokhman, vice chairman of the DPP Gerindra Party, reported that Soepriyatno had been exposed to the Covid-19 virus since last month.
“Well, since the end of September [2020] already exposed [Covid-19]”said the owner of Habib’s nickname through a short message to CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (9/10).
DPP Vice President Gerindra Sugiono also confirmed the news. According to him, Soepriyatno had received medical attention because he was positively infected with Covid-19 a few weeks ago.
“During the last weeks he was treated for positive Covid-19,” Sugiono said.
Previously, the chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, confirmed that he passed away on Friday (9/10) morning, at 05.30 WIB.
Soepriyatno is known to be the chairman of the East Java Gerindra DPD. He was born in Surabaya on October 19, 1966. Soepriyatno walked to the DPR for the period 2019-2024 from the East Java VIII constituency.
It is not certain where Soepriyatno contracted the corona virus. However, there have been several people working in the area of the DPR building so far who have contracted the corona virus. The number is more than 18 people.
