Dozens of cars that residents recently purchased were damaged after an accident because the owners weren’t good at driving a car.

As is well known, the people of Sumurgeneng Village bought dozens of new cars, which suddenly became billionaires after receiving funds from the sale of their land to Pertamina.

Arie Soerjono, manager of the Auto 2000 Tuban branch, said that so far, 15 cars belonging to Sumurgeneng villagers have had accidents.

The accident did not occur on the highway, but in the vicinity of the town’s local highway.

For example, when the owner backs up his car and crashes into the garage.

“There were 15 cars that had minor accidents, but the repair has already been completed,” Arie said. Tribunnews, Tuesday (23/2/2021).

Arie explained that car owners are not charged a repair fee because it is included in the insurance claim.

“Most of them are given to the owner. The car is included in the insurance, so there is no need to pay for the repairs,” Arie said.

It was previously reported that hundreds of residents in Sumurgeneng Village, Tuban, suddenly became billionaires.

This was after residents received a disbursement of funds from the sale of land for the Pertamina oil refinery project.

On average, residents receive IDR 8 billion. However, there were also residents who pocketed 24 billion rupees.

After becoming billionaires, residents bought cars for a total of 176 units.
