KOMPAS.com – Large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) have an effective effect in reducing the number of Covid-19 positive cases in various regions of Indonesia.
Regarding PSBB, on Tuesday (05/12/2020), the chairman of the Covid-19 Working Group to Accelerate Doni Monardo’s handling said that President Joko Widodo had ordered a simulation related to the relaxation of PSBB.
“The President has instructed the Working Group to prepare a simulation so that if we take the relaxation steps (PSBB), the stages should be clear,” Doni said in video conference, Tuesday (05/12/2020).
The first stage is precondition or scope. Later, the government will involve academics, epidemiologists, public health, sociologists, and public communication experts to conduct a study.
Second, that is, when the right time is applied for PSBB relaxation. That depends on four criteria.

Related to the launch of the PSBB is still a discussion or discussion by experts. According to Pandu, the government had already begun discussing the possibility of alleviating the PSBB after seeing the PSBB in Jakarta deemed successful in suppressing the number of positive Covid-19 cases.

“To be honest, don’t be too fast (to release the PSBB). You can’t. It’s not time yet. We should be able to prepare clear and convincing indicators. If not, there will be an increase in cases again, so it’s like going down, but go up again (the number of confirmed cases of Covid) -19), “Pandu said in an online discussion titled” Population Mobility and Covid-19: Social, Economic and Political Implications “on Monday (4/4/2020) .
