JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – The National Police Headquarters responded to questions from the public about the crowd that was generated when President Joko Widodo’s or Jokowi’s son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, registered as a candidate for mayor of Solo.

The National Police Headquarters felt the need to respond because the public compared him to the crowd at the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday event, organized by the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab.

The public believes that there is selective logging because Rizieq Shihab was fined 50 million rupees. Not only that, the police later investigated the crowd summoning various parties involved.

To the extent that DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was also subpoenaed for clarification because he was deemed to have done nothing.

Responding to this public criticism, the National Police Headquarters has its own reasons for not taking action against the crowd sparked by President Jokowi’s first son.
