Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Head of the Office of Manpower, Transmigration and Energy (Disnakertrans) DKI Jakarta Andri Yansah revealed a number of companies that were still profitable amid the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic. According to Andri, these companies are obliged to increase minimum salary in 2021 to IDR 4.4 million.

“There are also those who are not affected, telecommunications have not been affected, it has even increased. Financial services are not affected, the health sector is not affected,” Andri said during a virtual interview on Monday (2 / eleven).

In addition, Andri said, medical companies such as personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturers also made a profit during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Including the automotive, some are affected, others are not. Then we can see it, ”Andri said.

On the other hand, Andri said that many business sectors were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Among them are shopping malls, the tourism industry sector, hotels, property, retail, food and beverage trade.

For these business sectors, the Provincial Government of DKI urges employers to submit so that they can provide minimum wages to workers as in 2020 or not increase.

“If the company proposes to make adjustments to the UMP 2020, it seems that these companies do not need to be reviewed, a decree is issued immediately so that it can be adjusted using the UMP 2020,” he said.

Meanwhile, companies affected by Covid-19 can follow the minimum wage equal to the minimum wage in 2021.
