Jakarta –
The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta has decided to resume peer-to-peer policy amid large-scale transitional social restrictions (PSBB). The spokesperson for the COVID-19 Management Working Group, Wiku Adisasmito, assessed that, in fact, this peer-to-peer policy has increased the density of public transportation.
“Yes it is, odd pairs cause congestion on public transportation,” Wiku said when contacted by reporters on Sunday (6/9/2020).
Wiku emphasized that the growing number of cases is the same as the growing number of infections. Wiku explained this high contagion factor.
“So the transmission is greater because the people who have more and more activities do not follow the health protocols with discipline. That is the key. If the activity is greater, the health protocol is strict and disciplined, there should not be an increase in cases ”, said Wiku.
“So if you want to have socio-economic activities, you have to be disciplined, because if you are not disciplined this is an example,” he added.
The provincial government of DKI Jakarta is known to continue its peer-to-peer policy amid large-scale transitional social restrictions (PSBB). This decision was made based on the results of the evaluation of the Provincial Government of DKI that is carried out every day.
“We continue to carry out the odd peer review, but I have mentioned that every day we review the reports weekly to the Governor as Chairman of the Provincial Task Force, which then results from the results of the peer review,” said Jakarta Kadishub Syafrin Liputo to reporters from Rotonda HI, Central Jakarta, Sunday (9/6).
Syafrin said that from the odd and even evaluation results, there was an increase in traffic effectiveness. He said that the DKI Transportation Agency always monitors the movement data of DKI residents during the transitional PSBB.
