Lieutenant governor DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Homeland | Secure massive events such as the birthday of Prophet Muhammad SAW and the wedding of the daughter of a high-ranking Islamic Defenders Front (REIT), Muhammad Rizieq Shihab It will not happen again. He emphasized that the Provincial Government of DKI will enforce the rules that apply during the pandemic. corona virus (COVID-19) is still hitting the capital.

“Certainly (it will not be repeated). This will be a lesson for everyone, if we are only a figure like Habib Rizieq, we are not averse to enforcing the rules,” Riza said. CNN Indonesia TV, Monday (11/16).

Rizieq is known to have celebrated Prophet Muhammad SAW’s birthday and his daughter’s wedding at his private residence in Petamburan, Central Jakarta on Saturday (11/14) evening. This crowd has been criticized for ignoring health protocols and not keeping their distance despite still being in the middle of the outbreak.

Riza said crowd events should be a lesson for all parties, especially religious and community leaders. They, Riza said, were asked to be an example for society in complying with health protocols.

“I have broadcast religious figures before, party figures, government, private parties, mass organizations, this cannot be repeated. Anyone, let’s start with ourselves, we have to set an example,” he said.

On that occasion, Riza also said that the provincial government of DKI Jakarta has firmly sanctioned Rizieq Shihab with a fine of IDR 50 million for the crowd. According to him, this is proof that DKI Pemprov is not selective in enforcing the rules.

Not only that, Riza also claimed that the 50 million IDR fine was the highest fine in Indonesia for a violation. This fine, according to him, is also in accordance with the regulations.

“The existing fines in Jakarta are the highest of all the fines imposed from all the Indonesian provinces. This is a test of our sincerity,” he said.

“We give fines not only lip service, but also fines that we respect and test,” added Riza.

The implementation of the health protocol during the PSBB transition period in Jakarta has so far received public criticism. The reason is that it is considered that the DKI provincial government allowed the masses and supporters of Rizieq Shihab to meet without implementing health protocols.

The DKI provincial government has finally imposed a fine of 50 million rupees on Rizieq Shihab. The provincial government stated that Rizieq violated two Governor of Jakarta DKI (Pergub) Regulations at the same time, namely Governor’s Regulation Number 79 of 2020 on the Implementation of Discipline and Enforcement of the Law of Health Protocols as Efforts to Prevent and Control Covid-19 and the Governor’s Regulation Number 80 of 2020 on the Implementation of the Transitional PSBB.
