JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – DKI Jakarta DPRD Commission One member, Lukmanul Hakim, called on the provincial government of DKI Jakarta to immediately dismantle the stacks of the old monorail project at Jalan Rasuna Said and Jalan Asia Afrika because it disturbs the capital city’s aesthetic and driving comfort.

It should be noted that the construction of the monorail project in the capital has been stagnant since 2007.

There are already a total of 90 posts along Rasuna Said HR Road and Asia Africa Road.

“It’s not nice to see, it’s not good, when there’s a used pole in the middle of the road, there’s also the Jabodebek LRT line (at Jalan Rasuna Said),” Hakim said when confirmed on Friday (10/23/2020) .

The judge also asked the provincial government of DKI Jakarta to find out why the old monorail project was not dismantled.

According to him, the demolition should be assumed by the promoter of the Monorail project, not paid for by the Provincial Government of DKI.

“It should be checked first with the provincial government, who is the owner of this (monorail project). But as far as I know, it is not an asset of DKI Pemprov. The point is that if the developer is not responsible, it should be dismantled, but the cost should not come from DKI Pemprov, “Hakim said.

“Yes, if you want to revoke the permit first, go to the owner of the assets. First coordinate with the center, with the promoter that did it (the Monorail project). Don’t play demolition and get even compensation, it will become a new problem “he continued.

The DKI Provincial Government has previously requested that the stagnant monorail poles be dismantled immediately. The reason is that the existence of these pillars is considered to disturb the beauty of the city.

At the time, DKI Jakarta Province Regional Secretary (Sekda) Saefullah said that after sending a letter of termination of cooperation with PT JM, his party requested that the monorail pole that was standing still be immediately dismantled.
