DKI Deputy Governor urges Jakarta residents not to leave the city at the end of October

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Although the government has not eliminated collective licenses and long vacations at the end of October, the deputy governor of DKI Jakarta has appealed to the residents of the capital city not to leave the city.

“We appeal at the end of October, as far as possible the citizens of Jakarta should not leave the city,” said DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria after the plenary session of the Raperda with the DKI Jakarta DPRD, the Monday (10/19/2020).

Ariza, as they call it, expects the citizens of the capital to stay home. Learning from before, long vacations have the potential to increase the spread and transmission of Covid-19.

“We have experienced two increases due to long vacations and many have left the region,” Ariza said.
