Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The video of criticism of the president commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok of this state oil and gas company, which was uploaded to YouTube, last week caused a stir.
The Ministry of Public Enterprises (BUMN) was also mentioned, prompting BUMN Minister Erick Thohir to finally speak out.
In the video, Ahok criticizes the behavior of the directors of Pertamina. Ahok said the change in the company’s directors position was due to lobbying.
In fact, he said the lobbying was done directly to the minister.
In response to this, Erick said that a director of a state company should be close to the minister.
Because, the closeness with this minister can increase ‘teamwork‘(teamwork) between the two parties.
“Commissioners, the directors must be close to the ministers. Otherwise, teamwork will not work. That is why I gave instructions when meeting with all the directors on the transformation of BUMN who are already on my Instagram,” Erick said when meeting with the reporters after the Working Meeting with the Commission. VI DPR RI, Tuesday (9/22/2020).
He revealed that the directors and ministers of BUMN did not press, but only held meetings and it had become commonplace.
“You know, if I have a relationship with the board of directors, the commissioners, the ministers, it’s the usual thing I feel. If you say lobbying, all of that is talks, meetings, not lobbying. Something normal,” he explained.
