JAKARTA – The Vice President of the Ulema Council of Indonesia (MUI), Anwar Abbas, recounted the love trip of the former chairman of the Central Executive of Muhammadiyah, Din Syamsuddin, before finally marrying one of the grandsons of the founder of Pondok Pesantrean (Ponpes) Gontor, East Java, Rashda Diana Subakir. Din Syamsuddin officially married to Rashda today, Sunday, January 3, 2021.

Anwar Abbas believes that Din Syamsuddin is like his own brother. He admitted to knowing the true journey of his love Din Syamsuddin. His marriage to Rashda is the third time for Din Syamsuddin. Din Syamsuddin’s first wife, the late Vira Beranata.

“His wife Vira Beranata is probably the only person in the world, besides his biological mother, of course, who really understands and understands himself and wants to accept all his advantages and disadvantages,” Anwar told MNC Media, the Sunday (1/3/2021).

Din Syamsuddin’s marriage to Vira Beranata has three children. Anwar found Din Syamsuddin’s first marriage to Vira very happy. Unfortunately, Vira had to leave Din Syamsuddin forever.

“God calls his loving wife and me as a brother and literally sheds tears. Are there strong and patient women who can replace him in his struggle?” he said.

Din Syamsuddin’s marriage to Novalinda did not last long. They both finally decided to divorce. Although, Anwar said, Din Syamsuddin had fought for their relationship to continue.

“He has made various paths and efforts. Like a person who walks, he has reached the end. But God up there seems to have his own provisions for him, so fate is leading him in a different direction,” Anwar said.

“I know how he loves, cares and is responsible to his wife and his family. But if it is a message from God who is up there, who can reject it,” he added.

Anwar Abas said that Din and Novalinda parted ways on good terms. Although, he must be crying. For Anwar, this really seems like something extraordinary, because it is based on love and the provisions and guidelines of religious teachings.

“After they separated, now my brother found a new partner. As a couple, both older, they agreed to build a house,” said PP President Muhammadiyah.

Furthermore, Anwar said, Din Syamsuddin and Rashda had agreed not to chase the world, but how to fill this life as best as possible so that it could be meaningful and meaningful. Therefore, as someone close to Din Syamsuddin, Anwar asked that they both be given happiness.
