PONOROGO, KOMPAS.com – Three children of former PP Muhammadiyah president, Din Syamsuddin, were present when their father married the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Boarding School Gontor (Ponpes), Rashda Diana, on Sunday (1/3/2021).
The presence of all three hinted at their parents’ marriage to Rosdha Diana.
“There were three of his sons (Din Syamsudin) who came. If they were present it meant blessing their parents to marry Rosdha Diana. So they were there to witness the procession of the marriage ceremony earlier,” said the head of KUA Mlarak, Muhammad Auliyaussofi, who was contacted Kompas.com via cell phone, Sunday (1/3/2021) afternoon.
Sofi said that Din Syamsudin’s marriage contract procession with the late KH Imam Subakir Ahmad’s daughter, Rosdha Diana, took place from 09.00 to 10.30 WIB.
The marriage contract process uses the Covid-19 health protocol and takes place in the relic house run by Gontor Ponpes.
“Alhamdulillah, the procession went well and according to plan. Then with very strict health protocols as well,” explained Sofi.
The number of guests who attended the event reached about 30 people. The guests who attended the ceremony came from the bride’s family nucleus.

For the guardian of the marriage, Rasdha Diana is his own brother, Ustadz Fairuz. Meanwhile, the witness Din Syamsudin came from his family.
He added that the letter as a condition of the marriage contract was complete, both for the woman and the man.
Once the marriage contract ends, Sofi said, there will be no wedding reception. The reason is that the government still prohibits people from celebrating weddings during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“There was no reception before. Only the bride and groom’s family will participate in the ceremony,” said Sofi.
After the marriage contract was finalized, some Kiai gave marriage advice to the bride and groom. After the event was closed, Din Syamsuddin immediately left the wedding venue.
Sofi added that, for the correspondence requirements, the bride and groom had prepared from the beginning and were declared complete.
Meanwhile, Gontor Village chief Agung Prihandoko, who was separately confirmed, stated that the bride’s marriage letter was handled directly by Rasdha Diana himself.
