REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PONOROGO – Muhammadiyah figure Din Syamsuddin married the grandson of Pondok Modern founder Darussalam Gontor (PMDG) on Sunday (3/1). The wedding was held at PMDG, Ponorogo, East Java.

This happy news was relayed by Muhammadiyah class activist Ma’mun Murad in a state on social media. Twitter.

“Professor Din Syamsuddin got married this morning, Sunday, January 3, 2021, at 09:00 in Pesantren Gontor to Dr. Rashda Diana, Lc. MA., Grandson of the founder of Pesantren Gontor,” he tweeted on Twitter, Sunday (3/1).

Ma’mun also shared a photo of Din Syamsuddin with Rashda Diana at a wedding reception. “I wish Samara,” he said in the caption.

“I’m certainly happy. It’s not easy being the wife of a super busy figure. Hopefully his wife can be a partner in his life and fight. And of course, I hope SAMARA. Aamiin yra,” said Ma’mun, who is also Dean from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta (UMJ).

Rashda Diana is known to be the daughter of a PMDG head teacher, KH Imam Subakir Ahmad and the grandson of one of the founders of Pondok Gontor, KH. Imam Zarkasyi.
