Nining has not been able to confirm the injuries caused by rubber bullets, although this is indicated by the reports of the students who participated in the demonstration.
“However, we can confirm that the news of our student’s death is not true,” he said.

He explained that the mass of students who arrived from the campus of Pelita Bangsa University this afternoon took steps to reject the omnibus ciptaker law. They, Yogi said, moved from campus to the Jababeka area around 09:00 WIB.
However, his steps were stopped due to police interceptions. After negotiating, there was an agreement that the masses could only move to the center of the Jababeka 1 area, not to get closer to the toll road.
However, an agreed point had not yet been reached, that the masses were again isolated by the security forces. As a result, he said, a commotion began this afternoon.
Tonight, Yogi said, the mass of students had finished their action. However, she assured, her fellow students would not stop taking action against the general law on work copyright.
In response to the violence against the student masses in Jababeka, DPP GMNI President General Arjuna called on the security apparatus not to be repressive in securing the demonstrations.
“Security is necessary. But there is no need to be excessive or repressive. Because this is an ordinary rejection. People express their thoughts as part of democracy, protected by the constitution,” Arjuna said in his statement to CNNIndonesia.com.
“In Bekasi, our cadres have become victims of repressive actions by the security forces. That is why we deeply regret that the security forces protect them. They do not beat them so that the students do not demonstrate,” he added.
The DPP GMNI according to Arjuna will follow up on this beating case by reporting it to Komnas HAM.
“We will inform Komnas HAM. Because every time we get a demonstration, the apparatus has a procedure. You cannot hit randomly,” he concluded.
