“The estimated losses suffered by TransJakarta are at least around 45 billion rupees so far, but we do not yet know the total losses suffered by this destruction,” Nadia said in her statement on Thursday (8/10).


Nadia conveyed TransJakarta’s disappointment regarding the destruction of one of the stops, the HI roundabout stop, which opened on March 25, 2019. This stop is one of the modern stops integrated with the MRT station.

“TransJakarta deeply regrets and condemns the action of the bus stops and the residents’ facilities, especially the HI roundabout. Because the HI roundabout stop is one of the facilities enjoyed by all Indonesian citizens and should be guarded together.” he explained.

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan claimed that the cost of repairing the damaged facilities reached 25 billion rupees. It is only for the TransJakarta bus stop.

“So, of course, the burned stops cannot be repaired tonight. So the bus stops are still being measured how much of the total damage will be prepared in temporary shelters,” Anies said Thursday night (8/10 ).

Anies promised to quickly repair the facility so that the general public could use it again. However, he also called on all parties to refrain from doing further harm.

“I conveyed that we could refrain from transmitting our aspirations in an orderly manner,” he said.

Of the 18 damaged shelters, 8 were burned, namely Bundaran HI (Corridor 1), Sarinah (Cor 1), Tosari Baru (Cor 1), Tosari Lama (Cor 1) and Karet Sudirman (Cor 1). Then Sentral Senen (Cor 5), Senen towards P Gadung (Cor 2) and Senen towards HCB (Cor 2).

The stops that were damaged were HCB (Cor 1), BI (Cor 1), Gambir 1 (Cor 2), Sumber Sane (Cor 3), Grogol 1 (Cor 3), Dukuh Atas 1 (Cor 1) and Petojo (Cor 8). Then Benhil (Cor 1), Rs Tarakan (Cor 8) and Kwitang (Cor 2).

Demonstrations against the Omnibus Law on Employment Creation Law are known to have taken place in Jakarta at various times. The masses not only convey their aspirations, they also do harm.

From bus stops, police posts, police cars to a former cinema in Senen, central Jakarta. Until now, it is not certain that the total losses caused by the destruction of the masses were not known.
