Dedi feels sympathy and empathy for Akbar because his life story is so inspiring.

There is an interesting thing about Akbar’s story that was captured by Dedi, namely that even though he was in a difficult situation, the teenager still felt empathy for other people who were more difficult.

“He always gives other scavengers that are difficult. Such traits are rare. He has difficulties himself, but he has more empathy for people who are more difficult,” Dedi said.

Of course, there is another story from Akbar that is also very moving. For years he searched for his mother while collecting garbage. So Akbar could not separate himself from the pareo and the Quran. According to Dedi, Akbar’s attitudes are exemplary.

Dedi also invited Akbar to his residence in Purwakarta on Thursday. Dedi has several plans for Akbar.

First, Akbar aspires to establish a pesantren. Dedi will also provide space to fulfill that wish, specifically by giving the children of Subang the task of teaching the Qur’an. While reciting the Quran, Akbar will also be educated again, especially to study the yellow books.

“I will ask the teacher to increase the deepening of the book. In fact, Akbar can read and understand several yellow books, but he needs to be re-educated so that his grades can increase,” Dedi said.

Additionally, Dedi will also give Akbar a job managing a waste bank in Subang. Dedi admits that he owns a garbage bank.

“He works to collect garbage. He must not get lost. He is concerned about garbage and waste management. He will become director of the garbage bank in Lembur Pakuan (Subang),” said the former Purwakarta regent.

In addition, Dedi also prepared a capital aid for his parents of 10 million rupees. So that when Akbar left, his parents could become entrepreneurs.
