David Moyes’ first victory at Goodison Park after his team, West Ham United, beat Everton. He had never won an away game before.
West Ham beat host Everton 1-0 in Premier League Week 17 which took place at Goodison Park on Saturday (1/2/2021) WIB early in the morning. Winning goal Hammers printed by Tomas Soucek.
The victory this time is a special achievement for Moyes. For the first time he managed to beat Everton at home The Toffees, since leaving Merseyside Blue in 2013.
As is known, David Moyes managed Everton for eleven years in the period 2002-2013. He then left Goodison Park after accepting an offer to coach Manchester United seven years ago.
Since then, Moyes has always lost on his four trips to Goodison Park with three different clubs, namely MU, Sunderland and West Ham.
Moyes also expressed his happiness at being able to savor the victory on the road at Goodison Park. He said playing at the headquarters of his former care club was always special.
“It always feels special when you go back to your old club. I had extraordinary moments here, great years, but I want to do it again with West Ham and that means winning at another club,” Moyes said. BBC.
West Ham’s victory on this occasion means that they now accumulate 26 points and rank 10th in the Premier League standings. Meanwhile, Everton did not get past fourth place with 29 points.
