Jakarta –
Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko clarified the issue of the 15 folding bikes by artist Daniel Mananta, who was originally known as President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Moeldoko said the bikes were turned over to the presidential personnel office (KSP).
“But Daniel and Hendra came to KSP to deliver 15 units of bicycles to KSP, once again to KSP, none of them to Pak Jokowi,” Moeldoko said at a virtual press conference on Wednesday (10/28/2020).
The bicycle in question is an ecosmo 10 Sp Damn type, specially manufactured in commemoration of the 92nd Youth Commitment on October 28. This nationally manufactured bicycle is the result of the collaboration between Daniel as CEO of Damn! I love Indonesia with PT Roda Maju Bahagia.
Daniel and PT Roda Maju Bahagia President Director Hendra delivered 15 folding bikes to Moeldoko at the Presidential Palace Complex on Monday (10/26). Moeldoko said accepting the gift of the bicycle was providing support for products made by domestic children.
“I enthusiastically accept Mas Daniel and friends for national products and a special edition of the Youth Commitment, because national products, we have an obligation. It is an obligation for us to be able to guarantee that we all love national products, ”said Moeldoko.
This former TNI commander hopes young Indonesians can love household products through the labor of the nation’s children. Moeldoko also denied accepting Daniel’s gift for being part of the bicycle sale.
“The question is whether Pak Moel is marketing. Not at all, but our position is to provide motivation,” said the retired 4-star general.
The information about Daniel’s bike was given to Jokowi from the official KSP statement. Moeldoko admitted that there were technical errors that led to a controversial perception.
“It was an editorial mistake, a misunderstanding, so I decided now to pass it on to KSP,” Moeldoko said.
Daniel Mananta, who joined the virtual press conference, also emphasized that the bike he was giving away was not intended to be delivered to Jokowi personally. He also claimed that the bicycle was handed over to KSP as an institution.
“The bike is for the KSP, not for Mr. Moeldoko. What are you doing with 15 bikes?” Daniel said.
“The news is very confusing. Once again I emphasize that these 15 bikes are not for the honorable Mr. President Jokowi ”, he added.
As is known, the bicycle that Daniel Mananta gave to Moeldoko became controversial. The bike, which was originally named Jokowi, was requested by the KPK to be reported due to its potential as a tip.
“The KPK has coordinated with the palace regarding the receipt of a Youth Engagement special edition folding bicycle to President Joko Widodo through the KSP. And we have received information that so far the President has not received the bicycle. , and it will be reviewed further, “said the acting KPK spokesman. The Prevention Division, Ipi Maryati, told reporters, on Tuesday (10/27).
Ipi said that if the folding bike was destined for Jokowi, Jokowi would be obliged to report the delivery of the bike no later than 30 business days. Later, the KPK will determine whether the bike belongs to the state or Jokowi.
“According to the legal regulations, the submission of the reward receipt report is no later than 30 business days from the date the reward is received. In addition, once the report is received, the KPK will analyze and determine the status of receiving the bonus if it belongs to the state or property of the recipient, “said Ipi.
