DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan’s statement comparing Habib Rizieq Syihab’s (HRS) crowd management to the Pilkada has received a lot of attention from various circles. They broke the Anies narrative.

Anies initially revealed that the DKI Jakarta provincial government had taken action when there was a potential crowd of Habib Rizieq.

So Anies compared it to the organizers’ handling during the 2020 simultaneous regional elections.

“You can check which areas in Indonesia are sending letters, proactively reminding if there is potential for collection. You can see that Pilkada throughout Indonesia is in progress, is there any (official) letter reminding organizers of the importance of obeying the protocols health, “Anies said at the DPRD DKI Jakarta building. , Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, on Monday (11/16/2020).

Anies explained that the proactive actions included an appeal to Habib Rizieq and the Prophet Muhammad SAW birthday committee in Petamburan, Central Jakarta to comply with the health protocol of the Mayor of Central Jakarta Bayu Megantara.

Not just Anies, FPI also brought the Pilkada as the crowd at the Habib Rizieq celebration took center stage. FPI launches an allusion about the prosecution of violators of the health protocol at Pilkada 2020.

“With prayers, we hope that we will also stand firm with the crowd during this election,” DPP FPI President Slamet Maarif told reporters on Monday (11/16/2020).

Slamet’s statement also responds to the statement of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md, who said that people who deliberately move have the potential to kill vulnerable groups. Slamet appreciated Mahfud’s attitude.

“Pak Mahfud is doing his duty on behalf of the government, we respect and respect him,” Slamet said.

The comparison between the celebrating crowd of Pilkada and Habib Rizieq was answered by a number of parties ranging from the Ministry of the Interior (Kemendagri), the General Electoral Commission (KPU) to politicians. They discarded the comparison.
