Luhut said that the possibility of the Covid-19 vaccination being delayed from the government plan due to the absence of an authorization letter for emergency use (emergency use authorization) which is the authority of the Food and Drug Supervision Agency (BPOM).

“Not for the products, the products are ready. But because emergency use authorization cannot be issued by BPOM because there are regulations or Step by Step you have to obey, “he said.

Still, Luhut said President Jokowi will continue to follow procedures while awaiting the authorization letter for emergency use.

“I see that the president does not want to flee from there. He said that security is number one. Then we will see how long it will take. I think the government respects this rule,” he said.
