Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – West Java (West Java) Governor Ridwan Kamil, who is also the chair of the West Java COVID-19 Task Force, will approach Depok City for work there starting next week.

“Starting next week, maybe I have an office in Depok once a week to ensure that the handling (of COVID-19 in Bodebek) can be more coordinated,” said Kang Emil, the nickname of Ridwan Kamil, the Wednesday (9/30/2020).

About 70 percent of COVID-19 cases in West Java occur in the Bodebek area. In reference to data collected by the West Java Task Force for the period of September 21-27, 2020, Depok City had the most positive cases among other areas, namely 1,099 cases, followed by Bekasi City (962 cases ) and Bekasi Regency (512 cases).

Meanwhile, from the same period, Bogor City and Regency reported 228 cases and 465 cases, respectively.

In terms of filling beds in the COVID-19 referral hospital as of September 26, the top 10 hospitals treating COVID-19 cases were also dominated by Bodebek.

In Depok City, the urgency is related to the availability of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and HCU (Intensive Care Unit) as treatment rooms for severe criteria COVID-19 patients. For that, Kang Emil said, the management of COVID-19, especially in the city of Depok, needs to be further improved, especially in terms of the availability of health service facilities.

“Overall, out of the 27 regencies / cities in West Java, nine of the eleven busiest hospitals handling (cases) of COVID-19 are in Bodebek. And Depok is the most critical of our statistical records that has been above the 80 percent.), “Said Kang Emil.

Kang Emil also said that a special team needed to be formed to deal with COVID-19 in Bodebek. Furthermore, he proposed a special cross-subsidy policy in the Bodebek area for residents who need to be treated for COVID-19.

“We have coordinated so that Bodebek wants (there is) a strong and unified team. So then there will be cross-subsidies. If (the hospital in) Depok is full, later (residents) Depok’s identification card can be (treated) in Bogor or vice versa. We are currently working on this, “said Kang Emil.

At the meeting chaired by the Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments (Marves) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), as well as the Vice Chairman of the COVID-19 Management Committee and National Economic Recovery Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Kang Emil also explained the data related to the number of claims for COVID-19 service fees. 19 COVID-19 referral hospitals in West Java.

The total cost of claims submitted to date amounts to more than Rp 1.2 trillion from around 23 thousand claims for services. However, the verified claims refer to Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia number HK.01 / 07 / MENKES / 446/2020 on Technical Guidelines for Claims for Reimbursement of Certain Emerging Infectious Diseases Patient Services in hospitals that provide Covid-19 services are only 50 percent or about 11,300 Claim.

“From our records in West Java, almost 23 thousand (COVID-19 service claim files) were submitted, a total of more than Rs 1.2 trillion. But verification according to this is only 50 percent. or 11,300. So out of 23 thousand (claims) 50 percent of them are still problematic, “said Kang Emil.

He hopes that with a claim from the hospital, COVID-19 patients will not be burdened by the costs of treatment, especially for less fortunate patients. Kang Emil also hopes that the central government, through its discretion, can fight so that the human side is prioritized in a health emergency situation like the current one.

“Hopefully, also (the claims process) can be easier if the deficiencies (when verified) can be incomprehensible, unintentional. Therefore, do not allow the victim to have been (hit by) COVID-19, be it will charge you a very high fee, especially for those who cannot afford it, “said Kang Emil.
