1. The government bans crowds and New Years celebrations in public places.

The hardening of these activities will begin from December 18, 2020 to January 8, 2021. The reason for the issuance of this policy is the significant increase in cases that still continue after vacations and collective leaves at the end of October.

“The number of positive figures and mortality rates has continued to rise after the holidays in 8 and 20 provinces, after the previous trend had decreased,” Luhut said.

He highlighted the increasing trend in the provinces of DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, North Sumatra, Bali and South Kalimantan.

On that occasion, Anies Baswedan emphasized that New Year’s activities that gather large numbers of people are prohibited in his area, as well as celebrating Christmas directly together.

“We enforce this, Mr. Coordinating Minister and I hope that in an area of Jabodetabek it also applies politics the same, “he said.

2. Governor Anies was asked to toughen WFH policy

Luhut called on DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to toughen the work-from-home policy (Work from home/FMH) up to 75%.

“I also ask the governor [Anies Baswedan] continue with the policy of limiting business hours to 7:00 p.m. and limiting the number of people who gather in restaurants, shopping malls and entertainment venues, “Luhut said.

3. Relief for building rental fees in DKI Jakarta

With the policy of tightening WFH policies and limiting hangouts in shopping malls and entertainment venues, Luhut called on mall owners through the Governor of DKI Jakarta to offer rental and Charge for service to the tenant (tenant).

“Rental and relief schemes Charge for service (service fees) to be mutually agreed between the shopping centers and tenant. Examples include apportion, profit sharing or other schemes, ”said Luhut, who is also the vice president of Covid-19 and the Committee of the National Economic Recovery Task Force.

4. Religious celebrations and activities are restricted or prohibited.

Luhut also requested that activities that have the potential to gather large numbers of people, such as celebrations or religious events, be limited or prohibited. He suggested that the activities could be done online.

Therefore, Luhut ordered TNI / Polri to strengthen behavior change operations. “This will be preceded by a TNI / Polri rally led by the president as a way to strengthen engagement,” he said.

5. Centralized isolation of Covid-19 patients outside DKI Jakarta

Apart from the Jakarta DKI province, Luhut asked the governors of West Java, Central Java and East Java to do so. These directions include optimizing the use of centralized isolation, strengthening justice operations to ensure the implementation of centralized isolation, and 3M health protocols (wash hands, wear masks, and keep your distance).

“I call on local governments to also tighten social restrictions based on urban and suburban / rural contexts,” he said.

In the urban / urban context, he continued, local governments were asked to toughen the implementation of the WFH and limit the hours of operation of restaurants, entertainment and shopping centers until 20:00.

Meanwhile, in rural areas, local governments are asked to strengthen the implementation of social restrictions at the micro and community scale.

6. Tourists visiting Bali must have a PCR test

Especially for the province of Bali and others, the coordinating minister Luhut called for the health protocol to be tightened in resting area, hotels and tourist attractions.

“We ask that tourists who are going to fly to Bali must perform the H-2 PCR test before flying to Bali and require the rapid H-2 antigen test before traveling by land to Bali,” he concluded.
