KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The government’s plan to start vaccinating or injecting the Covid-19 vaccine in the second week of November 2020 is at risk of being delayed.

This was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investments, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, when he spoke at the National Defense Institute (Lemhanas) event.

“Before, the president called me, previously planned for the second week of November (Covid-19 vaccination), he may not be tired of the second week of November,” he said on Friday (10/23).

Luhut said that the possibility of Covid-19 vaccination being delayed from the government plan due to the absence of an emergency use authorization letter which is the authority of the Food and Drug Supervision Agency (BPOM).

“Not because the goods, the goods are ready. But because the emergency use authorization cannot be issued by BPOM because there are rules or steps that must be obeyed,” he said.
