KUPANG, KOMPAS.com – A Covid-19 positive patient from a local transmission in the city of Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), died on Tuesday (05/12/2020) at 20.45.
“We received a call from the doctor that our brother affected by the corona virus and who was being treated in the ICU ward of WZ Johannes Hospital died,” said Marius Ardu Jelamu, Head of the Regional Secretariat and Office of Public Relations of NTT. Kompas.com, Tuesday night.
The patient was treated at WZ Johannes Kupang Regional Hospital since Tuesday (5/5/2020) with complaints of shortness of breath.
In addition, on Monday (11/5/2020) yesterday, the patient’s swab test results tested positive for Covid-19.

“The deceased was not a group outside of NTT, but a local broadcast in the city of Kupang,” said Marius.
The deceased was a man from the Nunleu sub-district, Kota Raja district, Kupang city.
“He works as a meat trader in the Kupang Naikoten market,” he said.
He said he would still track and trace the number of people who had interacted with the patient, so that his health status would be verified immediately.
Persons who have contacted the deceased are also advised to immediately report them to health workers.
“Regarding your activities as a meat trader in the market, we will track and trace anyone who interacts with stakeholders to be examined immediately,” said Marius.
