Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

The head of the Central Java (Central Java) Health Bureau, Yulianto Prabowo, said that double data was the cause of the number of positive cases. COVID-19 in Central Java it has increased dramatically. According to data from the Covid-19 Working Group, Central Java became the largest contributor to positive cases with 2,036 people on Sunday, November 29.

“We were all surprised that it was said in the statement from (the Covid-19 Working Group) that Central Java was the highest in Indonesia on November 29, 2020 with 2,036 cases. This is very different from our data, which only added 844, “said Yulianto, in Semarang, on Monday (11/30) quoted from Between.

After being tracked down, Yulianto said, the data released by the Covid-19 Working Group was double, there were even 519 of the same cases in the statement.

Furthermore, we also found that there were 75 people who were released in the previous week, yesterday he was released again. For the 519 findings that were double data, there was a name that was typed up to four or five times, so the total of double data was 694 cases. That’s it, when Central Java launched, it added 2,036, “he said.

Yulianto gave an example of the duplicate data on positive Covid-19 cases that occurred at the Kendal Regency, where the Covid-19 Task Force launch contained a patient’s name that was typed up to five times.

Not just duplicate data, his party also found many old cases that were included in the COVID-19 Task Force launch on November 29, 2020 or a lot of data was entered in June 2020.

“So, of the 2,036 additional cases referred by the Covid-19 Working Group, it turns out that there is a lot of double data. In addition, the cases are long, even a few months ago it was published yesterday,” he said.

Regarding the problem of data discrepancies, Yulianto admitted that he had coordinated with the central Task Force Covid-19 so that the data collected could be synchronized so as not to worry the public.

“We continue to communicate with the center about improving this data. We ask the center to simply take the data on our website corona.jatengprov.go.id because it is definitely true. This is a suggestion that we passed on to the center, so that become a concern, “he said.

Meanwhile, the governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, asked the public not to worry about the increase in positive cases of the corona virus in Central Java, as published by the central government. According to him, the public can access the data of the Covid-19 case through the site https://corona.jatengprov.go.id.

“As the friends always update their data, the provincial government communicates it openly to the public through the official website,” Ganjar said.

Ganjar also confirmed the difference in data between the central and regional governments.

“The data section of the Central Java Health Office always communicates with the data administrators of the Ministry of Health and the Working Group so that the data releases are the same or not very different,” he said.

As of today, Monday (11/30), according to data from the Covid-19 Working Group, positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia have reached 538,883 people. Of these, up to 450,516 people were declared cured and another 16,945 died.

DKI Jakarta remains the province with the most Covid-19 cases, reaching 136,861 people. It is followed by East Java with 61,883 people, Central Java with 55,896 people, West Java with 52,517 people and South Sulawesi with 20,657 people.

Meanwhile, Central Java has the most active cases of Covid-19 or patients treated and subjected to independent isolation, that is, 13,963 people.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also highlighted the increase in positive cases of Covid-19 in DKI Jakarta and Central Java. Jokowi asked his staff to pay special attention to the area led by Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo.

“There are two provinces that in my opinion need special attention due to the increase this week, two or three days, Central Java and DKI Jakarta. So you can really see why the increase could be so drastic,” Jokowi said.
