TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Budi Hartono, businessman and the richest person in Indonesia, sent a letter to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
The letter from Budi Hartono addressed to the Head of State was uploaded by a businessman and former Indonesian ambassador to Poland, Peter F Gontha through his Instagram account, @petergontha, on Saturday (12/9/2020).
“Letter from Budi Hartono, the Richest Person in Indonesia to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, September 2020”, Peter Gontha wrote in his post.
In the letter, Budi Hartono stated that he did not agree with the re-implementation of Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta.
It is known, DKI Jakarta plans to return to a strict PSBB as at the beginning of the pandemic starting Monday (9/14/2020).

Budi Hartono has two main reasons why he disagreed with PSBB’s plan in Jakarta.
According to him, the PSBB that had been implemented in Jakarta previously had proven ineffective in reducing the growth rate of the infection.
The second reason is that the capacity of the hospitals in DKI Jakarta will continue to reach its maximum capacity with or without the application of the PSBB.
From his letter, Budi Hartono also made a series of suggestions to control the rate of increase of the Covid-19 infection.
For example, the application of rules and sanctions and the increase of the isolation capacity of the community.
