INDOZONE.ID – The deadly accident at Jalan Asahan KM 4-5 (Pematangsiantar-Perdagangan Highway), Nagori (Town) Dolok Merawan, Siantar District, Simalungun Regency, occurred on Thursday morning (11/19/2020) left the families of the deceased victims. .
One of the most affected figures was Ruliana br Gultom. The mother of three lost all of her young children. His children died on the spot in terrible conditions. The bodies of the children were crushed and scattered on the road.
Ruliana’s children are known as Digibran Natanael Sidabutar (3 years old), Fincent Rey Amsal Sidabutar (7 years old) and Love Viona Angely Sidabutar (6 years old).
When they were run over by a fuso truck, the three were taken away by their grandfather, Hotdiman Sidabutar (58 years old). Hotdiman himself died during medical treatment at Vita Insani Pematangsiantar Hospital.
At the scene of the incident, Ruliana cried hysterically upon seeing her son’s condition. The people who saw her cry seemed to try to calm her down.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the accident was caused by a Fuso truck with license plate BM 8238 ZU, which was traveling quickly and recklessly from the direction of Siantar to Trade.
While on the road in front of the Simalungun District Court and the Attorney General’s Office, the truck struck several other vehicles, including a black Fortuner car with license plate BK 434 WH, a silver Innova car with license plate BK 1811 MS, transportation Sinar Beringin public with license plate BK. 1353 TU, Siantar Jaya public transport with registration BK 1145 TU and several motorcycles in front, supposedly because the truck’s brakes failed.
The truck had already warned with a long horn, but it was unfortunate, because the distance was too short, a series of vehicles that did not have time to escape became victims.
“Before, several vehicles were dragged several meters,” said a witness.
Simalungun Police Chief Ipda Ramadhan Siregar said there were 12 vehicles involved in the consecutive accident.
The fuso truck collided with six cars and five motorcycles. Five people died and six were injured.
In addition to the three children and their grandfather, another victim who died was Carles Sianipar (45), a resident of Rambung Merah.
Meanwhile, the injured victims are Arbain (35), resident of Kerasa Pematang Bandar Simalungun, Muliadi Harahap (73), resident of Jalan Sabang Merauke Pematangsiantar, Fesi Novianti Hutabarat (30) resident of Jalan Viyata Yudha Pematangsiantari resident (38) a Novia Sudarma (40), resident of Margo Mulio, Gunung Malela Simalungun district and Yunus Sitompul (56), resident of Rambung Merah Simalungun.
Meanwhile, the truck driver known as Suratman (57), a resident of Nagori Pematang Silampuyang, Siantar District, Simalungun, fled after the incident.
The truck was loaded with loads on the road from the direction of Pematangsiantar traveling at high speed and when they reached the place, the brakes did not work. 11 vehicles were run over before they stopped hitting the wall.
