Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – Community Center Patient The Indonesian Bloodwash (KPCDI) deplored the government’s attitude that again increased rates BPJS Health through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 64 of 2020 on National Health Insurance.
KPCDI President Tony Samosir said the Perpres issue was an attempt by the government to circumvent the Supreme Court’s decision to cancel the increase in BPJS contributions in Presidential Regulation 75 in 2019.
Therefore, the community will fight. The resistance will be carried out by demanding the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) from the Supreme Court (MA) as they have done for some time.
KCPDI has also cooperated with the Lokataru Foundation as legal advisor to prepare the material test suit.
“This afternoon, together with Bang Haris Azhar, we have also said that we are discussing and preparing material evidence and we will immediately make the presentation to the Supreme Court,” Tony said when CNNIndonesia.com was contacted on Wednesday (05/13/2020).
For information, Jokowi through Perpres 64 in 2020 decided to increase BPJS Health contributions for Non-salaried Worker (PBPU) and Non-Worker (BP) Participants or Independent Participants gradually from July 2020.
This decision was made shortly after the Supreme Court (MA) canceled the 100-percent increase in BPJS contributions imposed by Jokowi beginning in early 2020.

The increase will take effect on July 1, 2020.For independent participants with Class II treatment room service benefits, rates have been increased from Rp. 51 thousand to Rp. 100,000 or 89.07 percent per person per month as of July 1, 2020. The increase will take effect on July 1, 2020.
For independent participants with class III treatment room service benefits, rates are increased from Rp. 25,500 to Rp. 35,000 or 37.25 percent per person per month starting in 2021. The increase will take effect in 2021.
According to Tony, the government measure is highly inconsistent with the plan to boost household consumption amid the economic slowdown due to the corona virus.
The contribution is considered onerous for lower middle class people despite the fact that the increase in rates in Perpres number 64 of 2020 regarding the Second Amendment to Perpres Number 82 of 2018 regarding Health Insurance is less than the increase previous.
“Also, there are still many participants who cannot do it, but he is not registered as a recipient of government contributions,” he said.
“We deeply regret this decision and this government is against the government’s decision to restore the economy,” he added. (hrf / agt)
