Commander Dudung Jaya’s Noisy Utimatum on 212 Reunion

Pangdam Jaya Major General TNI Dudung Abdurachman call the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) has stated that it will not be implemented Reunion 212 Next December. He threatened to take firm action if the FPI violated his statement.

“If, for example, in the future he has made a statement that he rapes her, there is no story, I am with the police, I will act decisively,” Dudung told reporters at the Jaya Regional Military Command, Jakarta, on Monday (23 /eleven).

Dudung said his party relied on the DKI Jakarta Governor’s appeal that the 212 Reunion activity not take place because it violated Perda No. 88/2020.

He stressed that there are legal rules that Indonesian citizens must follow.

“Everything is like the one that doesn’t really exist, follow the applicable law,” he said again.

The National Police Headquarters has emphasized that it does not give permission for the activities of the 212 Meeting that generally take place in the National Monument.

The head of the Public Information Office of the National Police (Karopenmas), Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said the decision was in line with the order of the Chief of the National Police, General Idham Azis, to ban any activity that causes major crowds.

Awi said that the Chief of the National Police emphasized that each Head of Regional Units (Kasatwil) of each level of the National Police could act decisively and not hesitate to ensure health protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We do not allow, we do not grant permission to the crowd,” Awi told reporters at the National Police headquarters, Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/17).

The plan for Meeting 212 has remained firm since Rizieq Shihab’s return to Indonesia on November 10. The plan received criticism from various circles because it was carried out during the corona virus pandemic.

However, PA 212 has said that it will postpone Meeting 212. Instead, it will hold a National Dialogue to replace Action Meeting 212 on December 2.

The dialogue program will feature 100 figures and academics, including FPI leader Rizieq Shihab.

“On December 2, 2020, we will hold a National Dialogue event in which we will introduce 100 figures and academics that the IB HRS will attend as specialists by continuing to apply the Covid-19 protocol,” said FPI Cs in a written statement, on Wednesday (11/18).
