Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi provide conditions for foreign nationals (WNA) who will travel to Indonesia Monday (12/28) until December 31, 2020.
Especially for Indonesian citizens who are abroad, the government still allows them to return to Indonesia indefinitely. But you still have to meet the requirements.
“According to Law No. 6 of 2011, Article 14 Indonesian citizens can still return to Indonesia,” Retno told a presidential secretariat press conference on Youtube on Monday (12/28).
These conditions are regulated in the Covid-19 Management Working Group Circular Number 3 of 2020 on the Health Protocol for People Travel during the Christmas Holidays and Welcome to the New Year 2021.
First, foreigners who have arrived in Indonesia must show negative evidence of Covid-19 based on the results of a PCR test that is valid for 2 x 24 hours before departure. This negative Covid-19 certificate must be reported during a medical examination at the airport.
“Showing negative evidence of Covid-19 from the PCR test in the country of origin that is valid 2×24 hours before departure, this letter is attached to the medical examination at the airport,” Retno said.
Second, after arriving in Indonesia, foreigners must recheck the RT PCR and self-quarantine for five days at a location provided by the government.
“Then when they arrive in Indonesia, they are forced to retest the PCR, while they wait for the results, they must quarantine themselves for five days,” Retno added.
After the quarantine, the foreign / Indonesian citizen still has to do another RT PCR check, if the result is negative, he is allowed to continue his journey in Indonesia.
The arrival of foreigners to Indonesia is still allowed until December 31, 2020. However, as of January 1, 2021, the government officially prohibits all foreign arrivals from abroad to Indonesia.
This step was taken in anticipation of the entry of a new variant of the corona virus into the country.
“Rats decided on December 28 to temporarily close from January 1 to 14, 2021, the entry of foreigners from all countries to Indonesia,” said Retno.
This restriction on incoming WNA is exempt for official visits by foreign ministers at ministerial level.
