The police, he said, assisted by the Damkar rescue team, had evacuated the Quran master with the initials AM (28) from inside a concrete-covered well.

He also confirmed that the woman’s body was immediately taken to the Jakarta Police Kramatjati Hospital for an autopsy and further examination.

“As of now, the cause of death of AM (28) is still under investigation,” Kadek said in a written statement.

Kadek explained that the incident started when AM (28) attended the Prophet’s birthday at Khadijah Ibrahim mosque near his home on Sunday (11/1/2020) around 19:30 WIB.

At the time, Kadek said, AM chose to go home early with her two children from the maulid event around 9pm WIB.

Meanwhile, the husband of the victim, M. Kurniawan, was still following the Prophet’s birthday activities until 23.00 WIB, because he was acting as a member of the committee.

The husband, who had just returned from attending the maulid event, was surprised to find that his wife was not at home.

Kadek said that the husband had broken down the door of the house that was locked from the inside. After successfully breaking in, M. Kurniawan only saw his son asleep in the room.

“The suspicion disappeared from there and the husband even made a search until Monday morning, but the whereabouts of the wife have not been found,” Kadek said.

The smell of water

The next day, Monday (02/11/2020), M. Kurniawan wants to drink ablution water to perform the dawn prayer at his home.

But there was an oddity, he and several students of the Koran smelled an unpleasant smell from the well water.

From there, according to Kadek, the search for victims began to find a bright spot due to the suspicion of the stench.

The husband immediately went to the local RT and asked a plumber named Mulyadi (42) to inspect the well.

During the examination, Mulyadi immediately saw a human figure in the well accompanied by a very strong stench. Seeing this, the husband finally reported the incident to the Cibinong police.

“Upon receiving the report, we immediately came to do the TKP processing,” Kadek said.

The results of the TKP processing, Kadek continued, revealed that the source of the unpleasant odor in the well came from the corpse inside, none other than the missing Quran master.

“It is confirmed that the victim is a woman with the initials AM, found dead in a well behind her house, the cause is not yet known,” he explained.

Mulyadi said the victim had been reported missing since Sunday night (1/11/2020) after attending Prophet Muhammad’s birthday at 1442 H at the Khadijah Ibrahim mosque.

“At first her husband asked me to look at the well because the water smelled bad. Now when I opened the lid it was heavy (concrete) and then I checked with a flashlight that there was a human underneath. I’m sure it must be (AM) because since Sunday has disappeared. “, Mulyadi explained after finding the victim when he was received at the scene.
